Local Trends 2025 this fall in Poznan!

The 5th edition of Local trends – European Local Government Forum will be held on October 13-14, 2025. This time, participants will meet in Poznań at the Poznań International Fair grounds. After the spring congress in Sopot, the forum is returning in a new refreshed format, even more open to the needs of local communities and smaller municipalities.

What is Local Trends?

Local Trends is an initiative aimed at representatives of local governments, business and public administration to support the development of cities and regions. Activities carried out as part of the project focus on exchanging experience, presenting innovative solutions and building effective cooperation between sectors. In addition, the event enables people to expand their competencies, establish lasting relationships and initiate joint development projects that address current challenges facing local communities.

Starter Incubator as event partner

As partners of the event, we support and engage in this important forum for dialogue, which is a place to share knowledge, experiences and practical solutions for local governments. Local Trends is not only an opportunity for us to talk, but above all a space where we can actively support the development of smaller communities together with local leaders and experts.

Program of the event

The program includes topics that respond to the most current challenges for local government units, among others. development and use of artificial intelligence, cyber security, countering the effects of climate change, new approaches to urban planning and public service management in the face of depopulation. Specialized thematic forums such as the Urban Development Forum, the Senior Policy Forum and the Youth Forum will also be held during the two days.

New formula of Local Trends

This year’s event is not only a continuation of past activities – it also focuses on the needs of smaller municipalities, local government professionals and communities. In addition, the organizers relied on greater participation by practitioners, consultation with content partners and broader representation of local communities. The themes of the event were developed on the basis of a survey and dialogue with institutional partners to respond to the current challenges and needs of local governments.

The organizers of the event are: MTP Group and the Center for Strategic Thought, while the hosts are the City of Poznan, the City of Sopot, the Greater Poland Regional Government and the Pomeranian Regional Government.
