Gdańsk STARTER Business Incubator
The functionality and accessibility of the STARTER Incubator building involves an obvious improvement in the quality of everyday life for people with disabilities. We strive to make our headquarters open to everyone and widely accessible to people with disabilities.

ACCESS
The STARTER Incubator can be reached by public transportation. SKM and bus stops are closest to the headquarters of the Incubator. Streetcar stops are about a kilometer away from the Incubator (the “Blażyńskiego” stop on Wita Stwosza Street and the “Bora Komorowskiego” and “Kołobrzeska” stops on Chłopska Street).

Śląska, Arkońska and Słupska streets, which provide access to STARTER’s headquarters, have a very uneven surface, a narrow sidewalk that is often obstructed by cars, which can make it difficult for people with limited mobility to get around independently.
ENTRANCE TO THE INSTITUTION
There are two entrances to the Incubator:
- the entrance from Slupska Street has a revolving door with a system for calling for assistance at
entrance to the building - the entrance from Arkona Street is preceded by a ramp paved with paving stones; the door
of the entrance at this entrance is over 90 centimeters wide, but is heavy and
non-automatic

The Incubator team – when requested – can support people with disabilities
to get to STARTER headquarters.
COMMUNICATION INSIDE THE BUILDING
Communication between floors is provided by elevators that are accessible to people with disabilities (among other things, they are soundproofed). All doors in spaces accessible to participants and attendees of events are more than 90 cm wide and have thresholds less than 2 cm high.
There are restrooms on each floor near the elevators, including toilets suitable for people with disabilities.
The halls in which we most often carry out events open to the public, i.e. the halls of CKS Gdansk, CKS Gdynia, CKS Sopot and Crazy Room, are located on the first floor of the building.
There is no ticket office or checkroom in the building. Tickets for some events can be purchased at the Reception Desk, which is located on the first floor. The reception desk is higher than 90 cm.
Clothes can be left on mobile hangers, which are located in the halls where the event is implemented.
IMPORTANT:
The Incubator team – upon request – can support people with disabilities during their stay at STARTER headquarters.
